You might be wondering how to connect your Echo Dot to your laptop. The first step is to make sure that your computer supports Bluetooth. Bluetooth is built into most laptops and desktops, but not all of them do. If you have one, you can buy a tiny Bluetooth adapter and use it with your laptop. To turn on Bluetooth on Windows, open the action center from your taskbar. Press Windows Key + A to bring up the action center. Click the Bluetooth option and enable it. Right-click the Bluetooth option and select “Go to Settings.” Next, click the Add a Device option and locate the device that you want to pair. The device will now be listed as Echo-TSM.
To do this, open the Alexa web application and find your new device. Click on the “Settings” button and select “Connect to PC.” Press and hold the action button on your Amazon Echo until an orange light appears. Then, connect the device to your PC WiFi network. Once connected, restart your laptop and your Echo. If your computer does not appear on your Alexa list, try to reboot it.
If you don’t have a Wi-Fi network, your Echo will become a regular speaker with no smart capabilities. If you want to stream music from your laptop, make sure that you have a Wi-Fi connection. Otherwise, you can also use Bluetooth to connect the Echo to your laptop speaker. To connect it to your laptop, simply select the device from the list and click “Connect”.
