How to Farm Blueprints Fast in Arc Raiders

If you’ve spent any real time in Arc Raiders, you already know that blueprints sit at the top of the loot hierarchy. They unlock powerful crafting options, accelerate gear progression, and give you long-term value beyond a single successful extraction. The problem? They’re among the rarest drops in the game.

Blueprint acquisition is not as simple as opening random containers and hoping for the best. Certain blueprints are gated behind night raids, high-threat enemies like Queens or Matriarchs, and special Harvester events. That said, a substantial portion of blueprints can be farmed efficiently with the right route planning and loot prioritization strategy.

This guide breaks down how to maximize your blueprint drop rate through smart map selection, container targeting, and combat prioritization.

Understanding Blueprint RNG: Luck vs. Strategy

First, a reality check: blueprint farming involves RNG. Technically, almost any loot source in Arc Raiders can drop a blueprint. However, probability weighting strongly favors:

    • High-tier loot zones
    • Rare container types
    • Locked or barricaded rooms
    • High-value enemy units

Higher rarity areas consistently produce more valuable loot overall, and that includes blueprints. The key is reducing variance by concentrating your efforts where the drop tables are most favorable.

    What to Prioritize While Looting

When you enter a zone, apply this priority system:

    1. Locked & Barricaded Doors

Loot hidden behind locked or barricaded doors is almost always superior to open-world floor loot. These areas often contain high-tier crates and specialized containers. If you must choose between looting scattered boxes in the open versus investing time and risk in a sealed room, choose the sealed room.

    2. High-Value Container Types

Blueprint drop rates are noticeably better in:

    • Backpacks
    • Duffel bags
    • Weapon crates
    • Silver Raider caches
    • Specialized storage containers

The drop rate for regular loot boxes and randomly dropped Arc Raiders items is much lower.

    Best Blueprint Farming Locations

Below are several locations where blueprint drops have proven more consistent.

    3. Dam – Broken Bridge (East of Power Generation Complex)

    Map: Dam

One of the most reliable blueprint farming spots is the broken bridge east of the power generation complex.

    How to Access:

    • Move between Raider Outpost East and the East Broken Bridge.
    • Walk along the broken highway.
    • As the highway ends, turn around.
    • Drop down and vault to grab the ledge mid-fall.

This maneuver can be difficult without a properly placed zipline. Some methods may have been adjusted in patches, so zipline positioning is critical.

    Why It’s Good:

This location typically contains guaranteed high-tier loot spawns, significantly increasing your odds of blueprint drops.

    Bonus Tip:

Always check Raider caches in this area. Many Dam caches have been known to contain the Anvil blueprint, making this region particularly valuable if you’re still missing it.

    4. Dam – Floodgate Barricaded Doors (North of Control Tower)

Still on the Dam map, another viable blueprint route is along the floodgates north of the control tower and research administration building.

    What to Look For:

    • Catwalk with bridge extension buttons
    • Two barricaded doors along the path

Opening these doors reveals rare containers and often yields one or more blueprint rolls. While not as consistent as the Broken Bridge location, it remains a strong secondary farming route.

    5. Buried City – Morano Station & Plaza Rosa

    Map: Buried City

While residential and Old World areas generally provide solid blueprint odds, two specific spots stand out:

    Morano Station (Barricaded Door)

    This is the higher-priority location.

    • The barricaded door near Morano Station frequently spawns high-tier loot crates.
    • This makes it one of the better blueprint opportunities in Buried City.

Always prioritize this over more exposed loot areas.

Plaza Rosa & Piazza Busto (Barricaded Armories)

    These contain:

    • Significant floor loot
    • Second-floor containers with strong blueprint potential

While slightly less consistent than Morano Station, these are still worth routing through if you’re in the area.

    6. Blue Gate Map – Northwest Village

    Map: Blue Gate

The northwest village is a conditional but high-reward blueprint farm.

    Requirements:

    • Village Key

Unlock the large double doors near the center of the village. Inside, you’ll find multiple high-tier containers with strong blueprint drop potential.

Yes, the key requirement adds friction. But if you have one, the expected value of this run is high. Interestingly, dumpsters in the village have occasionally dropped blueprints as well. While not reliable enough to route around, they are worth checking if you’re already in the area.

    Bonus Strategy: Hunt Ark Surveyors

Ark Surveyors are notoriously frustrating to fight. They flee, reposition, and waste your time.

    However:

Destroying an Ark Surveyor has shown a strong tendency to reward blueprints more frequently than standard Ark units.

    If you have:

    • High burst damage
    • Crowd control
    • Mobility to close distances quickly

You should always engage Surveyors when safe to do so. They represent one of the most overlooked blueprint farming methods in the game, or you can buy ARC Raiders blueprint at MMOexp.

    Advanced Efficiency Tips

To optimize blueprint farming per hour:

    • Run lighter kits to reduce risk exposure.
    • Plan extraction routes before committing to high-value doors.
    • Avoid unnecessary PvP unless forced—dying with a blueprint is the worst-case outcome.
    • Chain high-tier locations in a single route rather than fully clearing low-value zones.
    • Farm during lower population hours if possible to reduce competition.

Blueprint farming is about increasing the number of attempts per hour while minimizing extraction failures.

    Final Thoughts

Blueprint farming in Arc Raiders blends RNG mitigation and route optimization. While some blueprints are tied to night raids, Queens, Matriarchs, or Harvester events, a significant number can be acquired consistently by targeting.

Focus your runs, reduce wasted movement, and prioritize sealed loot areas over open-world scavenging. Do that consistently, and you’ll dramatically increase your blueprint acquisition rate.
